 Guidelines for consignment:

 

The Golden Hangers only accepts brand name and designer clothing for women as well as shoes, handbags, jewelry and accessories. Items should be no more than 2 years old and in new or like new condition.

All clothing should be freshly laundered and pressed. Clothing should be brought in on hangers or gently folded in a tote to prevent wrinkling.

Clothing that shows excessive wear, wrinkling, pilling, staining, damage, pet hair or odors will not be accepted. Remember, the better the presentation, the quicker it sells.

The Golden Hangers also accepts current trend decorative house-wares and holiday items. Again, items should be within a 2-3 year age range and in perfect or near perfect condition.

The Golden Hangers reserves the right to choose what will best fit the store image, as well as what will meet the market demands.

How much do I make?

Consignment is 60%/40%. You will receive 40% of the selling price for each item that sells. You can pick up your check monthly, or you can let your balance grow throughout the season, but checks are not mailed out unless self addressed, stamped envelopes are provided.

Clothing is kept by the season and you have the option of claiming any unsold items before the 20% off or the 50% off sales or you may choose to run your items through the sales. If still unsold, The Golden Hangers will include the items in their Semi Annual Charity Event and upon request, will issue you a charity receipt for your income taxes.
